Cookies that allow us to measure website usage

To determine which parts of the website are of most interest to our visitors, we try to measure continuously using Google Analytics software. It is part of Rotterdam Leisure Group's (legal) duty to report on our performance. To do so, it is necessary to keep web statistics. For this purpose we use cookies, tags/beacons and JavaScript so that we can recognize the browser and thus measure the number of visitors to our websites.

Beacons and tags are synonyms. Tags are used to measure visits and usage of a website. Statistics are created from the information we collect in this way. These statistics give us insight into how often our web pages are visited, where visitors spend the most time, and so on. This enables us to make the structure, navigation and content of the website as user-friendly as possible. The statistics and other reports cannot be traced back to individuals (see also paragraph on privacy-friendly use of Google Analytics later in this statement). We use cookies, tags/beacons and JavaScript for:

• tracking the number of visitors to our web pages
• tracking the amount of time each visitor spends on our web pages
• determining the order in which a visitor visits the various pages of our website
• assessing which parts of our site need modification
• optimizing the website

Social media cookies

Cookies to share our website content via social media

The articles and videos you view on our website can be shared via social media using buttons. For the functioning of these buttons, social media cookies of the social media parties are used so that they recognize you the moment you want to share an article or video. These cookies thus enable logged in users of selected social media to share certain content from our website directly.

In addition, Rotterdam Leisure Group's websites make use of 'embeds' that allow third-party content to be displayed. For example, to embed video or photos. Third-party cookies may also be placed via these embeds. See also below in this statement 'Unforeseen cookies'.

Please note that these statements may change regularly. The Rotterdam Leisure Group website has no influence on these changes.

Unforeseen cookies

Due to the way the Internet and websites work, we may not always have insight into the cookies placed by third parties through our website. This is particularly the case if our web pages contain so-called embedded elements; these are texts, documents, images or videos that are stored with another party, but displayed on, in or through our website.
